Mickey
Beckham is a native South Carolinian, a graduate of Furman University,
with a BA in psychology, and Vanderbilt University, with a master’s degree
in education. He has been involved in over $500,000,000 raised in private
support including Furman University, the Medical University of South
Carolina, St. Louis University and the University Hospitals affiliated
with Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He served as
visiting lecturer at graduate schools at Vanderbilt University’s school of
education and Case Western Reserve’s Mandel graduate school. He has
lectured at Dartmouth-Hitchcock, Yale-New Haven, and Harvard’s affiliated
hospitals as well as Scripps Institute in California. His clients have
included major universities and small non profit agencies. In 1990 he was
awarded a national award by the American Association of Medical Colleges
for designing an endowment concept aimed at alumni. He has written thirty
two articles on fund raising and written two novels since 2005, both
published by a division of Amazon.com. |
